should boxing be taught in schools

as the popularity of boxing is on on the increase in the uk. A politician has called for boxing to be taught in schools as it helps in bringing discipline to people and is good for fitness
There was a radio talk show on last night and most people were against the idea. I just wondered what boxing fans thought of the idea and we need to get over saturdays fight lol with some new topics

They won't let you play dodgeball or butts up, they won't let you box, no matter how much head gear they let the kids have.

Heh, if that bill got passed here in the US, kids would learn boxing in schools sure, but with a Video Controller in their hand.

u dont have to go in a ring and punch someone though at that age do u. Surely they can hit a bag, skip etc. If they get a taste for it then they can move into contact boxing later on.
I would deffo have preferd boxing to playing rounders thats for sure
