you have to give hatton at least 4 rounds. he was the one being agressive and always going for the knockout. it was also hattons aggression that caused him to get knocked out. mayweather never walked forward once in that fight.

Well he did in round 8 which was a huge round for Floyd, but other than that I agree with you, even the knockout came with Floyd going backwards.

WHICH MEANS THAT GOING FORWARD IS NOT THE ONLY WAY TO WIN A FIGHT

True, now a days it seems its ok to run. People today would have loved seeing a prime Virgil Hill fight(not dogging him, just that he was a boxer and never got the attention he deserved? as a matter of fact, since we have so many boxing fans where are the Virgil Hill boxing fans? They say he once won a fight with one hand -the jab. Again, to the boxing fans where are the Virgil Hill fans?

Those that love Mayweather, would also love to Virgil Hill fight in his prime so wheres the love for Virgil Hill?

where are the cory spinks fans?? why isnt calderon a hero in puerto rico even though he is the best pure boxer next to mayweather?? the cold hard truth is cowards do not have fans. true warriors are what makes boxing exciting. if this sport was filled with nothing but slick boxers no one would watch.

and i gave hatton 4 or 5 rounds because he was coming forward and trying to make the fight exciting for the fans.

Do you want to get into this "TRUE WARRIOR" bull**** again?
If you gave Hatton four or five rounds, (which is it dummy?) then watch the fight again.
The COLD HARD TRUTH, is that the better man won.
It's called boxing. You know, the sweet science.
You want a street brawl, then go to a club and find a fight.
If you want to get your jaw broke, and a busted ocular socket, start some **** with somebody that can throw hands.
                  You understand?

The last time I checked "trying to make the fight exciting for the fans" isn't a criteria in judging.

yet, "ring generalship" is... why do you suppose this vague term was included in the official scoring guidelines? Answer: To help judges promote marketable boxers.
