Does boxing need a 24 hour channel like the NFL Network???

this idea would be BIG like the ass in your avatar.. I would definitely cop it and pay monthly, they could have an on demand channel where a week later ALL fights get automatically put up on there, they could have an on demand section for each Boxing network where each week whether PPV or not they could put it there to be watched at any hour and ESPN classic can present the old school fights in their entirety, that would be ground breaking for Boxing. 100

Their was going to be one, no joke. They was going to show old HBO and showtime fights ETC. Then Don King got invovled and I never heard about it again.

Yes, but the thing is when Im watching a fight / countdown / 24/7 / anything to do wiht boxing, 10 minutes after I start watching, I want to go workout.

But yeah, that would be sick.

Another thing that pisses me off, why can't they make PPV in HD. Boxing in HD is so much better.

Boxing definetly needs that and Im shocked it doesnt exist yet.

It would be an awesome treat to hardcore boxing fans if we had a 24hr Boxing Channel, but boxing needs to really build itself back up again for a boxing only channel become a reality.

The U.S. fanbase for boxing today is simply not there. So who in their right minds would put up a Boxing only channel, unless it's part of a basic cable package.

And, as some of you have already pointed out. Some of the cable channels that have a vast boxing library might not be too crazy about lending their boxing films, unless they're the one's providing the boxing only channel.

ESPN Classics is not enough. I am 34 years aold. I would love to see some old fights of good contenders that might not made it big, but fought well enough to deserve a nice nitgh at the futton with some munchies.

Producers probably thought of something like that then remembered boxing fans already cry like a bunch of broke babys over a few PPVs. Dont think for 1 moment the TV providers would let that channel come with basic cable.

Boxing channel should come in a package deal...if it existed. lol
