what an idiotic thread title, may as well tell us you have limited boxing knowledge

it only takes about 5 minutes of research to uncover the fact that peter is a -450 up to -600 favorite in this fight.

lol at those of you who dont know what those numbers mean

Peter is a crude slugger.. anyone with an ounce of talent can and will beat him.. 5'9'' fat and bascially shot Middleweights notwithstanding..

You would think Lacy would tought us that lesson... no???

maskaev has always had a better chance than people give him.. due to Sam Peters severe overating
You're right. Toney had hit him with every punch he threw. If he had the power, he would knock Peter's ass out in 3-4 rounds.

Maskaev who struggled with Rahman and Okhello (who tha **** is he, anyway?), doesn't unfortunately stand a chance against Peter though, this is probably his last fight and I don't think he'll be inclined to take a beating like Wlad or McCline did and keep on going.

I found -450 at 52bet.com, I'll probably throw a few bucks on Peter's fat ass after I see his weight at the weigh-in. If he comes in seriously overweight, I'll probably throw a few bucks on Maskaev for a hell of it.

Peter will, and should be, the favorite.

Do me a favor ****weed.............don't intrude upon a boxing discussion, in a BOXING FORUM, and link to your essay about how you don't approve of an aspect of the sport itself. We're here to discuss boxing.

Not how you "feel". Or if it's "Ok the" Heavyweight division isn't the glamorous banquet it once was (whenever that was.......Lewis era? hahahahahah).

Peter is the future, deal with it. All big pros can fight, people have bad fights. He still has the knockout power and showed the heart in his last outing.
how I am supposed to respond to this? Do you purposly not address any of the point I made instead making strawman argument to do with things that I never touched like my opinion of Sam Peter. The 'concept of sports' I'm interested on that, what is the concept that you say I object to.

And heavyweight boxing does not really exist anymore. It's not on TV except rarely and just as importatantly when it is it's not to your expectation for top tier heavyweight boxing. A decent heavyweight card used to have like Evander Holyfield, Michael Moore, Tyson and all the things they bring to the table.

I'll give 2:1 odds in favor of Maskaev with 5K-8K. I think Peter comes in really hungry in this fight and KO's Maskaev into retirement.

I think peter will probably beat maskaev as well but i doubt peter is gonna be carried out in a body bag against wlad. Do they have body bag's ring side?

Maskaev gets ****ing killed. If the bookies want to lose money they will make Oleg a favorite, do they want to lose money? NO!!

Peter has a great chin, anyone can get caught. Don't forget that McCline is ****ing 600 pounds! Peter got caught by a punch from a big guy, he recovered and fought on. Name me one other instance in which Peter got hurt? Klitschko tapped that chin all night with his straight rights (probably the biggest puncher today), and Peter didn't even buckle (With the exception of round 12)!

So get the **** out of here with Peter's chin questions

Maskaev has been knocked out 5 times and by lesser and weaker punchers than peter. Peter will end the night quick IMO. Peter TKO 6 at the most

Peter was about to go in the 12th round with Wlad buddy. Wlad caught him with a left hook and staggered the **** out of him. he was actually about to go a few times in that same round. if that was a 15 round fight, Wlad would have knocked him out in the next round. im not agreeing with these people on Peter's chin because his chin IS solid, i just had to make that clear.
