does mayweather need to do more for his legacy???

a win over hatton would mean more if mayweather would have fought him at 140 where hatton is at his best. all the real boxing fans know hatton is not at his best at 147. do you think he needs to fight cotto williams cintron margarito to erase any doubt about him?? i think he does because of the ducking he has done. at least cotto and one other top contender. or move up to 154 and get the real championship.

He would seal his legacy with a win over Williams and that's it. The rest of the competition is De Ja Vu for Floyd. Williams is the only kind of opponent that Floyd never been against. Tall, Stamina, Great Chin, Southpaw, huge reach ect.
    Williams would give Floyd hell.

i think your right but you know mayweather would never fight him. williams has all the things that caused him to duck margarito and margarito brought the money that williams cant.

The legacy has already been written, so what he hatton had to fight him at his weight, didn't mayweather fight DLH at a higher weight...?

            Sadly, that might be true.
Floyd-Williams would be one of the most interesting fights ever.

They need to become bigger names.... Floyd will fight for the money...

And i think williams would be the best opponent...

Btu somehow I feel that cotto will end up on top and williams will lose to someone.

he should fight cotto, then williams later on after his name gets out there, then retire after beating them both.

Floyd's best weight isn't 147 either, so that's really a nonissue in my mind. To me the higher weight benefited Hatton more, since it means he had to cut less weight to meet the goal. Also Hatton's best bet was power, and he'd have more power at 147 than 140. Also his handspeed didn't seem effected, he just got beaten by the power. Hatton's style was made to be beaten by a good counterpuncher.
