Ok, you are right. After I sent a response to your question, Cotto popped up in my mind and I didn't even think about Floyd, honestly. I like Andre Berto, he has some growing to do, but his prospects looks good. Like I said, Williams is a good fighter. Very high work rate. I really want to see him fight Cotto.

Do you know anything about Milton "IceMan" McCrory (my godfather, and one my dad's best friends). He fought out of the legendary Kronk gym

As long as your willing to admit your favorite prizefighters have faults your not a nuthugger. Its only the people who swear their favorite fighters can do no wrong. Welcome to the site Money...

Not very much to be honest. I was a little young (was born in '76) and his fights don't get much replay.

Im a big fan of Cotto/Pacman/Juan Manuel Marquez, but u dont see me running to thier defense everytime something unfavorable is mentioned about them. Once your feelings for a fighter becomes PERSONAL, then i think its fair to consider yourself a "nuthugger"

OK, you are right. they don't get much replay. But he was WBC welterweight champion, until he got knocked out. He also has a young brother that was AWESOME, Stevie McCrory, he actually won Olympic Gold in 84. He has since passed on, but he was a great boxer.

One of my favorite of all-time is "Sweet Pea". This dude was very crafty and he is defense was 2nd to none, in his prime! I watched the fight with Oscar and man I still thought that he won the fight. Maybe since my family knows him, we believe he did. But that was a MEGA fight at 147, and young Oscar was an animal! Most of Sweet Pea's demise was from his ******* problems. I said all that to say this. How do you think a slick, defensive, boxer-puncher like Sweet Pea, matches up with Floyd Mayweather?

I remember they mentioned him when Paul Williams was walking to the ring before he fought Santos Pakau. Lampley was completing his mandatory comparison of Williams to Hearns that he has to do for every telecast, and Steward said no dice, but he did have another tall lanky fighter named Milton Mc...(Clory, Crory, whatever it is), but Williams wasn't anything like him either.

Well you have a different Mayweather then, someone on the offensive. It's a hard fight to pick b/c neither guy fought anyone like the other. But Floyd probably finds Whitaker and edges him. Floyd can fight any type of fight, and if he had a Whitaker I think that would give us a chance to see something else from him.

Young Oscar at 147 was really outstanding, up until round 9 of the Trinidad fight. He was never the same after that.

I do know about the McCrorys. I just don't remember watching while he was champ (about 84-85, no).

Yes, Manny Steward trained my godfather since he was a young boy. During this times, Manny had Kronk gym STACKED with fighters! Milton was a traditional Kronk fighter, POWERFUL STRAIGHT RIGHT HAND. That is the trademark of the fighters that Manny trains. They called Milton the IceMan because his right hand was knocking his oppents stiff! LOL. We can see Manny's training in Thomas HitMan Hearns as well, Tommy had an AMAZING STRAIGHT RIGHT HAND! Milton was a big welterweight. He walked around at about 170, and he had to lose a lot of weight to make the 47 limit. This eventually hurt him when he fought and lost his welterweight title, when he was knocked out by Donald Curry. Following that lost, my godfather was never really able to get his career back on track. But he was a boxer with a nice right hand, and it was pretty kool to actually see his WBC belts.
