Thats true if Joe would have said that "black guy" comment it would have been the end of his career... There would have been so many black peaple trying to stop joe cal from ever boxing agian. Hopkins is a disgrace.

I'm gonna piss a lot of people off with this but oh well...

In a perfect world this is true, not in reality. We can't pretend that Hopkins saying "I will never lose to a white boy" is the same as Calzaghe (if he said this) saying "I will never lose to a Black boy." Especially if he said boy. It's not the same, as much as it should be, it just isn't.

Whether we like to admit it or not, there is a double standard when it comes to race. Years of racism against black people has caused this. I'm not saying it's wrong or right, it is reverse racism but it is what it is. I don't agree with what he said and think it's a shallow way to promote the fight but he knows he can get away with it.

I'm a bit biased because I am a pretty big Hopkins fan but....

I am white so I could easily have jumped on the "I'm offended by this whiteboy comment" bandwagon. I'm just not offended.
