I need to see Williams deal with Quintana and then I might have him as a guy who could give Mayweather some serious problems. Don't know if he'll beat him and not saying that Quintana is ANYTHING like Mayweather. I just need to see more of the kid, period is all. If Williams ever fights Cintron, I'll know if he can take a good punch.

So far, he's got speed, stamina, workrate and a nice tolerance for a rough fight.

If he can take a punch and learn to deal with counter-punchers (maybe he can, maybe he can't) he'll be one of the top choices to beat Floyd.

Amir Khan, I don't see it. He has a chance to gain the extra 12 pounds, but I doubt it's in time to fight a prime Floyd Mayweather.

i remember kahn being dominated at the olympics, he was soo young , against this experienced cuban legend. BBC made such a big deal out of that fight....

I need to see more of Amir Khan before I am convinced he can beat the top guys. Graham Earl was in a very tough fight against Katsidis and it took alot out of him IMO. He has good speed but his defense is leaky and chin isn't very good.

Khan did get beat good and proper at the olympics but then six months later totally dominated the same cuban before turning pro.

If Khan proves his chin then he'll be massive. And an old Floyd will be ready for the taking.

Do you all not get it still?

Mayweather is not great because he is fast, or technically solid, or creative. All of those things make him a very good fighter, but the thing that has made him unbeatable as of now, and given him more than enough tools to become an all-time great, is his ridiculously good defense.

Floyd without his defense becomes Cory Spinks...

We've all seen Cory lose before too. Cory can land punches, because he is fast, but he gets hit in return, and that causes him to lose.

I've never seen Amir fight, but people are saying that his defense sucks, and that his chin sucks (which proves the defense part, considering it has already been checked on his JCC Jr. style path of bums to success)... this makes me think that Floyd would land a hell of a lot more than Amir, mostly because of the defense issue alone.

              Just my two cents.

Seriously though, think about how valuable defense is.

How good was Winky Wright before he improved his defense in the Vargas fight?

              Can anyone say mediocre?

khan has some skill, but don't go overboard and say he'll be the best pfp. let nature take it's course and we'll all find out in a couple of years

Benn must have hit Mcllelan with close to 30 rabbit punches in the back of the head.

He's doing the right thing. He believes Hatton is a great fighter, and so this win is a great addition to his legacy. Some people don't understand the consequences when you're talking about a fighter's opponent being ****.
