      Ever see Whitaker-Mayweather? Or Whitaker-Hurtado*?

I said prime. I think he was still developing as a fighter against Mayweather. He only had 11 fights I believe.

Floyd's defense is very good against right hands. Floyd has a pronounced vulnerability to southpaws and stiff jabs though. Also, Floyd defense limits his offensive output to single shots.

Pernell Whitaker with the kinds of pop that Mayweather had at the lighter weight classes would have been without a doubt the best fighter in history.

Pernell was the best but Floyd gives you a better show when it comes to beating somebodys ass. Go watch Manfreddy, Diego, Gatti, Judah, & Hatton.

Now see I attribute Whitaker's lack of knockouts to his unbelievable competition. For every fighter on Mayweather's record I think I could largely name a better, more hardened fighter on Whitaker's.

Whitaker thought you got points for dodging punches than landing them. Floyd's offense smokes Whitaker's. He can have defense if he really wants it lol

That is true, but Mayweather still had more power at the lighter weights, although Whitaker could put some pop behind his punches when he had to, Mayweather put a little more steam behind his punches on average.
