lol, a championship isnt the same in team sports

U could have a good team, but to win the championships you could be playing a bad team.

Just look at the NFL. Since the RAMS-TITANS, nearly every superbowl has been a mismatch.

In Boxing its different. Just because SRR knocked Fullmer out in 5 rounds, does that make Fullmer a bad fighter? **** no! Does that mean Fullmer wasnt in the same league as SRR?? nope

Two COMPLETELY different sports. A championship is completely different then beating a good fighter

I honestly don't know how people want to put PBF against middleweights. It would be a huge mismatch against both Taylor and Pavlik. They are both fighting at SMW and weigh in the mid-high 160's fight night when at middleweight.. While PBF is most comfortable at 147.

If Spinks did it....you're going to tell me Spinks is more talented then Mayweather? He is skilled so maybe you're right.

I agree that PBF should go nowhere near Pavlik, but as the post above me said, if Spinks can hold his own, and some thinks he won, PBF can do it better.

God please let this thread continue! I have never laughed this hard at a thread. GOAT for beating Cotto? Are you ****ing serious? Floyd's biggest downfall is either one of two things. Either 1) he was unlucky enough to be fighting when he doesnt have that other great fighter/fighters to define him, or 2) he never fought the best at his weight. Floyd is a great, great fighter, but he seems more eager to beat up on smaller guys, or really good fighters well past thier primes. He sounds like he is willing to fight Mosely now, but if Mosely had beaten Cotto I doubt you would hear Floyd bringing his name up.

Spinks started higher weight than PBF, and besides, who was the best guy that Spinks beat at LMW? Like I said, guys like Taylor and Pavlik are way too big for PBF. You have to look at reach and height too, in which PBF is at a severe disadvantage, let alone the power.

I think SPinks would do better agains the Middleweights then Mayweather would because Spinks does anything in his power to avoid contact.

Mayweather often settles down and trades in short bursts, and has a habit of willfully getting onto the ropes.

Against a big Middleweight like Taylor, that spells doom.

It would take a very disaplined game plan from Mayweather. I think he could do it.
