Cotto vs De La Hoya next May?

Cotto's team told El Nuevo Dia that they are interested in a fight against Oscar De La Hoya for May of next year.

If Mayweather dont fight him, this could be a great fight to draw Mayweather in. I would MUCH rather see Cotto-Mayweather but I dont think Mayweather has interest in fighting for a while.

If Cotto-De La Hoya does materialize, I think its a dangerous fight for Cotto. Even tho Cotto beat Mosley and Mosley beat Oscar twice, I think it is more dangerous than the Mosley fight. Only because Oscars left hook. Cotto has never been in there with fire power like that. I think Cotto is better than Oscar tho in every aspect besides that left hook. Oscar has a good chin too so he'll prolly be around a while and have plenty of time to place a good punch on Cotto.

I think Cotto will go to the body tho and wear Oscar down. And would Oscar go to 147?

I thought Oscar said he wouldn't fight Cotto. IF DLH tires to make this fight, he'll want to fight at 154 and give himself every advantage. If they fight it should be at 147.

By Oscar saying he would fight anyone but Cotto, is his way of saying he wants to fight Cotto.

and yea Cotto shouldnt go to 154. He has a belt at 147 and is comfortable there.
