Cotto has a more international following than Hatton. I mean, MSG was supporting him over Judah. He has fans in the US, Puerto Rico, a lot of Mexico. It's also going to be billed as a more competitive fight than Mayweather-Hatton... because there were some doubts that Hatton would be able to do much against Mayweather (which turned out to be untrue), but there are not many people who think Mayweather is going to walk over Cotto.

And there's the key... the real thing that makes a huge fight is the non-partisan fans. Not Mayweather fans, not Cotto fans, not haters of either buying it to see one lose... it is those who are buying it to see a competitive, exciting fight.

Mayweather actually might be billed as exciting now, considering how he fought against Ricky.
