My thoughts cotto/mw and the others in the weight class

Would like to see Cotto/Mayweather but to be honest it makes no sense. He's not ready and I'm not sure he ever will be. I agree with the other posters who say he should fight Margarito or Williams first. If he can get past those two guys (Which I'm not sure he can), then he can challenge Mayweather. Look I like Cotto and hate MW but lets be honest, he's the best. I don't want to see another boxer I like get in the ring with him. I can see it now..........He held and hit Cotto, He turned his head too much, blah blah blah.........And I'm sure I'd be one of them. Which is why I say fight DLH, if he get's past him, fight Williams, then MW. That way if he loses to MW it can be said that he is 2nd best. If he goes out there and gets beat by MW without these other fights, he's just another good looking no loss fighter that MW beat.

You know I actually thought he needed a few more fights before Mosley. You never know. He has very little defense but the kid's head is so hard...

Floyd would whoop his ass though.

I would damn near suck **** to see Cotto-DLH. That would be an awesome finght. I don't think I'd like MW-Cotto as much because of the way MW boxes. I wan't to see a fight! That being said, I do like Cotto and hate MW but I'm not going to sit on here and type bs in your ear.

First off, that sounded real gay second, I don't want to see DLH / Cotto because it's a no win situation. DLH is 35 years old, he is waaayyyy past his prime. Even though he can still beat 80% of the fighters out there, the only gain Cotto would get is in his pocket. If he beats DLH, he beat an old DLH, if he loses to and old DLH, well his career would take a huge setback.

I agree with Cotto fighting Williams or Margarito. It would be much more exciting and it could set up a fight with Mayweather. Even though nobody is beating Mayweather plain and simple.

just expressing how much I want to see DLH and Cotto fight. I agree with the rest of your comment though. I want to see DLH go out on top.

You like Cotto and hate Mayweather, that's fine. What other WW fight brings more sense businesswise for Floyd. For Cotto is a shot at the best. Win win situation for both fighters. Cotto is as ready as he'll ever be, for Floyd, staying away from boxing will not do him any good. What other marketable fights does he have in between, a rematch with Oscar or a fight with Mosley?
