Your Idea of a Boxer-Brawler-Puncher. and mixes.

This is all what I think... This isnt some law or out of a book.

Of course with weight class changes some catergories will change. or you would be forced too.

    Puncher.
Strong hitter and posses some skills of a boxer but not excelling in them.

    Boxer.
This is slipping, defensive, foot work, countering, head movement, parrying, and use of the jab.. as Emmanuel Stewart said "The best boxers have had even better jabs"

    Brawler.

Usually Possesing good-excelling strentgh of punch with decent stamina.

    1. Tyson...
    Boxer/puncher ----agree?

    2. Shane mosely...
    Boxer/puncher ---- everyone agree?

    3. ALI...
    Boxer ---- everyone agree?

    4. Frazier...
    Puncher/Brawler ----agree?

    5. Cotto...
    Puncher

    6. Maywether...
    Boxer

    7. Hagler
Boxer/puncher ---- (brawler at times also)

    8. Hatton
    Brawler/Boxer ---- (at 140 of course)

    9. Liston...
    Brawler

Does this sound right to everyone.. lemme know if anything doesnt sit with you.. I wanna see what the grounds are?

I Think this is somewhat really correct though.

I never really thought of Cotto as a puncher, hes more of a brawler. Tito is a puncher. He tries to set up his knockout. Cotto goes in there and works.

you don't think cotto trys to set up knockouts...

I feel like Myroga is the brawler....

        Liston is the brawler.....

Cotto is a puncher... not great boxing skills but intelligent enough to be able to use his money punch alot.

I guess our idea of a brawler is a bit different. I dont necessarily think of them they have less skills but they fight mostly inside and try to wear their opponents down. Cotto does set up knockouts but he simply doesnt have the power to be classified as a puncher...

Mayorga is, I dont even know what... lol he gets his own class.

What do you think RJJ would fit into?

he may share it with Ponce De Leon.

            Their class is 'bad ass'

              Tyson was a puncher boxer.
Mosley was a brawler who could box a little.
              Ali was a boxer
              Frazier was a swarmer
              Cotto's a boxer puncher
              Mayweather's a boxer puncher
              Haglers a mixture of boxer/brawler/puncher
hatton's a swarmer with good boxing skills
              Liston's a puncher

I agree with most except Tyson wasn't a boxer, he was a puncher if your saying a puncher is a strong hitter with light boxing skills.
