Yeah, he really should have let Hatton hold and hit like he gets to do in Britain which is how he built up his phony resume and "undefeated" streak. Hatton is way more effective when he gets to fight his illegal fight. Oh well, sometimes you're forced to actually box and if you get destroyed, so be it. People will always love you for winning illegally in the past of course, Ricky!

ITs the truth. Ricky couldn't adapt but the ref was the major problem, not Floyd.

If he's just hit and hold then why does everyone love watching Ricky fight yet call Floyd boring?

besides, Floyd held loads and got away with it

So you agree that Hatton is one dimesional right? Then all you need to know is that's where the fight was lost.

Let me ask you this. Why did Hatton stop throwing to the body? He was in close quarters the whole night and didn't let his hands go.

Before the fight, I didn't see anybody calling either of them exciting. After the fight, everyone at the party I was at said Floyd was exciting and amazing while Hatton was a one-dimensional hugger. So I don't know where you get the notion people think Hatton is exciting because I've never heard that anywhere but from Hatton on these boards.

Yep, Hatton isn't multi-dimensional but he is better close up than Floyd and the early rounds showed it.

I think Hatton wanted to get Floyd in the head because Floyd was constantly hitting him in the head when the ref broke it up.

Yes PBF nailed Hatton when he was coming in. If the ref didnt seperate them all the time, Hatton could have nailed PBF with a rib tickler. He timed that punch just right for Hatton because he was given so many opportunities by the ref.
