I was clapping Mayweather as he was being announced the winner, His performance was world class and he deserves credit for it.
Ive had a couple rants about Cortez cause i thought he was awful and biased, but still that's not taking away the way Floyd won, he KO Hatton and proved hes the best boxer on the planet.Comment

i remember, i paid good money and stayed up til 4am uk time to watch it.
im just saying that maybe floyd is too good at what he does and because of that he's boring.
that's why in his home town the majority of the crowd wanted the english guy to win
i cant really knock floyd cos it's his life and he can choose to box how he wants. but he's in the entertainment business, as much as he tries to convince everyone he's in the money business he's not.
all forms of sport are entertainment, that's why no one remembers the boring sucessfull one's rather than the heart on the sleeve champions.
if a nuclear war breaks out and you have to move into your underground bunker for 5 years, there's only room left for one boxing career dvd, would anyone seriously take floyds in? apart from floyd himself??Comment

People STILL don't understand that there is a difference between MOVING and RUNNING. It's very simple.
If I throw a punch at you, and you counter and get out of the way before you hit me, it's moving. If you move around NON-STOP, without fail and NEVER stand your ground, then you're running.
The difference is that one is a smart/strategic thing to do and the other is out of fear. Mayweather actually predicted a knock out and happened to get it in here. I don't know if he feared him or not, regardless he did do what he said he would in this fight. So, I'd have to believe he had SOME confidence in himself and had a little less fear in him than a lot of Hatton supporters assumed he would.
Andre Dirrell is a runner. Floyd mayweather actually doesn't run much at all. He usually can fight inside and off the ropes. He'll shoulder roll in terms of getting away from the punches and will do some good body work. He only moves to get away from a punch and reset himself in terms of rhythm and being able to restart the flow of the fight. Keep it at his pace. Usually, he sees an opponent's punch coming and he slips it, by ducking under a shot, in Hattons case a lot of wider shots, and then goes in and does some body work.
It's funny how if Mayweather moves, he's afraid. But if Hatton hits and holds, he's a big strong man. I find that to be very odd.
I don't understand why fans of a alleged puncher get upset when an opponent of said puncher doesn't play into their guys advantages. Why the **** would someone get angry over something like that?
Roberto Duran was the harder puncher/better slugger than Ray Leonard. So, he needed to rough him up He got in Rays head and he won the first fight by being able to do so. Ray lost before the fight even happened. In the rematch, Ray smartened up and frustrated his opponent so badly that he literally just said, forget it and gave up. Half the battle is before the fight even starts. The point is to have half the battle won before the first punch is thrown.
Why would someone assume you should "do the manly thing" and fight throwing NON STOP PUNCHES until someones head falls off? That would mean skill goes out the window and the biggest punchers would win every fight. Dumbest ****ing thing I've ever heard of.
I can think of so many metaphors to explain how dumb that is in comparison with other dumb things, but it's just not worth it.
In closing, if you KO someone, and you're running..... Be thankful he did stay in the pocket and just knock Ricky Hattons head off.

Look at the start of Round 7 or round 1/2 and you'll see all you need to know. One wants to fight, the other is gettin the **** outta there.People STILL don't understand that there is a difference between MOVING and RUNNING. It's very simple.
