An open apology about booing the Anthem

On behalf of all UK fight fans Iwas disappointed ashamed and disgusted by the booing of the anthem. These idiots are not fight fans If you asked them do you think Floyd is the best pound for pound
they would probably answer " what do you mean pound for pound" ! They know nothing about our sport! Thanks guys I feel better now.
PS Floyd you were awesome in the ring and showed true class afterwards .

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Ricky Hatton fans that showed up for the Mayweather vs. Hatton fight, they were a bunch of soccer hooligans that just wanted to support Ricky Hatton, they didn't know **** about the sport of boxing.

Well I can't speak for other Americans...but I sure can speak for this one and that **** pissed me the **** off.
I WAS going for Hatton...shiiiit...after that.
I mean I know...everybody knows that Mayweather is a ****head but I dont care if Hatton is fighting Beelzebub..you boo our song and priests are gonna want him to lose.
We are not the same as Euros in that respect...that is NOT just another song...we are raised different here...we might kill and rob each other but the one thing that unifies us and that we all pretty much agree on is the flag and the song and our respect for them.

They were soccer fans but they were drunk, boozed up and being like that goes with the territory of drinking. Its not a reflection of them as people.

Boxing fans (US included) are generally lower class though, like soccer fans. They're quicker to descend to this sort of behaviour.

But boxing isn't exactly a classy sport, is it. 2 men battering each other. It is neaderthal so lets not dress it up. And thats part of its attraction.

            That's a sweeping statement!!!

Lower class, is that the same as working class and underclass?

Think you need to read some sociology books before you start making statements like that.

What do you mean? Benn, Hatton, Eubank etc weren't born with silver spoons and nor were boxing crowds with the fans generally from the same background. I say lower when one considers there is a middle and an upper.
