    Watch Cortez save Mayweather

    blurb:

Hatton appears to land two good shots here, the first rocks Mayweather back and he retreats to the ropes, Hatton then gets through with another. They tie up but seperate themselves and punches are being thrown again with Mayweather on the retreat but the Ref splits them up. Note the slow mo, the Boxers are throwing punches again when the Ref intervenes. The UK commentary team are questioning the interference from the Ref from Round 1. Is it no wonder that Boxing is losing credibility. Hatton couldn't fight his fight? What's your view as to why.

That video disproves itself, Floyd landed just as many punches in that exchange as Hatton did, and the reason the ref came in to seperate is because they were holding each other for a few seconds but they naturally came apart just as he attempted to break them up.
There was most certianly no "saving" going on there.

He came in, in the middle of the punching exchange far too late as the fighters had broken naturally and almost gets hit himself.

This is typical of what he did all through this first 4 rounds, desperate to constantly get between the fighters.

And it was Floyd that grabbed Ricky.

It was Hatton whom instigated the clinching. Floyd beat Hatton at his own Style.

It was okay for Hatton to clinch the living **** out of Kostya, because Hatton won that fight.

Floyd fouled twice in that short clip. He brought an intentional elbow across Hattons face, and he hit Hatton with a HARD right hand after the break. Joe Cortez was basically holding Hatton, and Mayweather just took a free shot. Joe Cortez didn't say **** about it either.

Its not the clinching that bothers me, its the ref running in when they had already broken up in this particular video.

But he was way to quick to save Mayweather all through the first 4 rounds.

i have a lot of respect for jim watt, he's by far the best along with lampley that ive heard calling the fights.

and i agree with him 1000%.

cortez was a disgrace last night, not pbf's fault of course because he was a worthy winner but cmon guys, he was running in to split them up before they even came together.

                  the best man won though.
