Why is the former USSR Dominating HW Boxing?

Is there a reason behind it? Is it because boxing has lost popularity in the us so young kids are not growing up wanting to be boxers anymore?

They have more heart, Valuev for example was fighting and getting paid next to nothing to do so, now someone comes along and offers him big money to do what he was doing for nothing. Coming from a backround like that makes you more humble.

Eastern Europeans weren't allowed to turn professional until the 1990's because of the Cold War. This is just the beginning of the Eastern European Domination, the haters out there are just gonna have to accept the fact that Eastern European heavyweights will be dominating for a very long time, maybe even for the rest of existence.
