Floyd talks on Cotto and Admits hatton was "toughest hes ever faced".

took my time,” Mayweather said of his first knockout in two years. “I fought on the inside and the outside. A true champion can adapt to anything.

“I knew he would try to rough me up, so I didn’t halfway train for this fight. I prepared 100 percent for this fight. He was definitely the toughest competitor I have ever faced.”

Hatton was equally gracious after the fight.

“I felt really strong but I left myself open and he’s better on the inside that I thought he was,” said Hatton. “I thought I was doing well in the fight until he hit me with the shot that cut me. I didn’t feel the body shots until the cut.

“He’s not the biggest welterweight I’ve fought but he’s strong. I don’t think he’s the hardest puncher tonight, but he was clever.”

And it appears that Mayweather is clever enough to know when to call it quits.

When asked about a potential fight with popular undefeated welterweight titlist Miguel Cotto next year, Mayweather replied:

“Cotto’s a hell of a champion and the welterweight division is the best weight class in boxing. There are a lot of great fighters in the welterweight division and the junior middleweight division but I’ve done all I wanted to accomplish in boxing so I’m not thinking about fighting any of them.”

Mayweather “retired” after his split-decision victory over Oscar De La Hoya this past May and obviously came back to the sport he’s dedicated his life to. Maybe this one will stick, maybe it won’t.

Mayweather is a ***** for retiring at the peak of his game, in the best division in Boxing.

CLEARLY ducking the best out there, and if he retires today he wont come close to being an all time great.

He has the unique oppurtunity to become an all time great, but he is throwing it all away cause he is a B-I-T-C-H

I used to have some respect for your posts as you made valid points, but unless you were joking or this is a bait post then you cant be taken seriously.

Five weight champion, 6 time world champion, linear champion at four

            wins over:

            Oscar De La Hoya
            Ricky Hatton
            Diego Corrales
            Jose Luis Castillo
            Zab Judah
            Genaro Hernandez
            Jesus Chavez

Other good fighters in: Manfredy, Gatti, Baldomir, Mitchell.

20 World title fights. He does'nt need anything, he is a great. Boxing needs Mayweather more than Mayweather needing boxing...face it

well he accomplished many things like 5 time world champion in different divisions which is hard to do and really just few fighters to named.

Another part of the story that Mayweather been in the business long enought so if he retires it for him to go. beating Cotto and Williams is just bonus for him.

And last part he said he retired against Oscar and he came back. If Cotto fight someoen in the close future and he calls out Mayweather like Hatton did the fight could be made. Mayweather is gather up haters so they buy his PPV to see him get KOed
