Over 80% were British!!!! in in USA!!!! Now whos the draw. Mayweather never drawt a live-audience over 10k alone. He is not a big draw. Guess PBF would now fight against a guy like Mayorga or someone line that. Without GBP, without 24/7 and without a Ricky Hatton who sells the cards. He would do arorund 300-400 PPV buys and less than 10k in audience. DLH made 1M buys and a full house.
How can the guy who never even fought on PPV be the draw. Close to 400000 with Judah is greater than fighting on HBO's WCB. Floyd Mayweather is a PPV fighter, thats why HBO reserves his dates, same with Manny Pac, Bernard Hopkins, DeLaHoya, and probably Cotto now. You really think Hatton-Witter or any of the other fighters at 140 is going to be on PPV, not unless its a stacked card. These other guys that yall are naming, fight the guys who have PPV dates, thats how you know whos a draw.

Guess what Mayweather is teaching us with every fight that he fights?

That you don't need to be popular to be a huge draw.

80% of the crowd were british, so who was the draw?

How much PPV-buys a fight like Mayweather-Spinks or Forrest would make.

I would say a lot to be honest.

People want to see Mayweather lose.
People also want to see Mayweather fight because he is ranked #1.

I hate the New England Patriots, but I can't resist watching them, because they are #1.

          Hatton's other fights didn't do a whole lot (television-wise).

You can't tell me it is a coincidence that Mayweather got Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, DLH and Hatton more money than they had ever had from a single fight before.

Crowd doesn't matter when we are talking about money. A hell of a lot more comes from PPV buys and stuff like that.

He wouldnt even fight those guys unless they brought something to the table, thats the thing, when youre the draw you choose your fights. Now if Ricky wants to keep fighting and be successful it will be at 140 and i dont see any PPV fights there, i mean i guess technicall Paulie may be able to make one, but at this point whoever Floyd fights its on PPV

I'm not sure who it is right now but it will be Chavez JR by the end of the year. He is the next golden boy without the fem voice.

                In the U.S.

                DLH
                Mayweather
                Hatton
                Pacquiao
                Cotto
                Pavlik

I'm sure Calzaghe's fans will travel well just like Hatton's. Wont know for sure until he proves it.

Chad Dawson could be there in a couple of years too.
I don't know if Dawson can reach the popularity of Floyd Maywather Jr. or Manny Pacquiao, or even Miguel Cotto. But that's not to take anything from Dawson's boxing ability, because he sure as hell gives what the fans want.

They should, Calzaghe is the sportman of the moment over here. Sports personality of the year. So he is a bit of national treasure at the moment. Hopkins isn't a ****, he finally realised thats why he became more interested in this fight and it was reported over here it will be agreed 50/50.
