Why do we love watching people get their ass beat??

Tis a question I was asked yesterday after the fight. Are you really so primitive and barbaric that you get off watching people whoop the **** out of each other?
I was never the one to run halfway across the school to see a fight happening in middle/high school but I love boxing despite it being so brutal and dangerous.

I dunno how to answer that really, the only explanation to why I love watching boxing is because I just do..

I like watching people get knocked the **** out but then you see the reaction of people like Hatton's families and thats when it seems kind of barbaric.
