    Mayweather would never beat Hatton...

In England. In Manchester. At Light Heavyweight. In a drinking contest.

Joking aside I'd like to see a little more maturity in posting. There's an awful lot of gloating which just isn't pretty, and some of the insults are infantile and depressing.

There's quite a few people with whom I've had plenty of disagreements who use this site to discuss boxing. We argue and we ***** and we debate and we argue some more. And this is great. But at the same time there's a large minority of posters who seem to use this site to be cheerleaders and bitches and that's kinda crap. Then there's an even smaller minority who seem to use the forum as a means of purely getting people's backs up, and that's extremely bizarre behaviour. You know who you are. Get a hobby. Try and date girls.

Anyway props to those who have taken defeat and particularly victory with grace becoming of decent human beings.

Also Ricky wins a pie eating contest.

i rarely post. I mean 4th time in 3 yrs as a member. hats off to Hatton. I was going for Ricky but if I bet money I would have put it on Floyd. This was by far the best floyd yet.

My only problem is Floyd's attitude and lack of respect for the important things in life. Money not being one of them. If he were anything like DLH he would be my favorite ( not that kinky panty hose stuff but the approachable attitude) , I would pay to see any of his performances. He, I think would be even richer too. More people would compliment him than diss him. after the fight last night I saw the floyd I liked and not the floyd that makes me change the channel. The floyd that I could sit with my kids and enjoy the show. BUt in boxing it seems there has to be a Mike Tyson. We have to hate someone in order to like someone else. . Floyd was spectacular last nite. I would love to see Floyd vs Cotto. I think that could be good. Cotto is full size in his weight these days and his strength and speed could create a great fight. I still think I would bet on floyd not against him but I would not mind losing the money if cotto won.

cong**** to the guys who cling to Floyd's nutz like ornaments on a X-mas tree. and I would say cong**** the Hatton fans because Hatton gave us many reasons to like him.

        Don't do Floyd a disservice, he'd look great in a pair of stack-heeled thigh-highs!

The problem is that before the fight some Hatton fans were definitly talking some serious ****, I remember one guy talking about how Hatton was going to turn Floyd into a drooling vegetable and stuff like that.
It was excessive, and so was the post fight reaction.

I agree, but that was trolling rather than fandom, and trolling has been going on both ways. I mean I want to discuss boxing here, not pander to some sadcase's insecurities.

I tried to ignore the worst excesses of both sides.

Are you suggesting the Hatton fans wouldn't be even worse than the Floyd fans are?

Hell I don't even think they're being that bad, save a few ******s who can barely spell even the most simple words.

Obviously, but BoxingScene is filled with haters, nughuggers and fairweather fans.
Thats just the way it is, and I dont think it will change anytime soon.

If you think that Mayweather would lose a 175lb beer drinking contest (no matter the location), then you know nothing about boxing.

                    Just kidding, man. Cheers.
