British Fans Booing the National Anthem

Did anyone else think that was pretty classless last night?
Im not asking them to cheer, but booing another country's national anthem is just about as classless as it gets.
Hopefully the majority were just ****** drunk fans.

As I said in another thread, last night Hatton's fans showed all the class and character of a Harlem hooker on "2 for 1" night. And I'm an American fan of Hatton's who'd always held his fans in high regard in terms of character and class. And the British have the balls to lebel Americans as ****** or "uncultured".

that was their only classless moment. They cheered the things Mayweather was saying.

But i did read a report saying that Mayweather was trying to play to the crowd during the anthem, and thats what the boos were for, but i didnt see anything...

Hatton's fans are a classless sort. Don't mistake them for representatives of Britain. It's a very specific type who support this kid.

it is Football culture unfortunately. There is not a national anthem the English haven't booed. It is bad taste.

It's all done in jest, if you've attended a live boxing event all the fans are laughing and having a joke, I even boo'd Calzaghe and cheered Kessler when I attended the fight live, it's just an enjoyable atmosphere and you should make the most of it, if the fans really hated Floyd they wouldn't have cheered him at the end.

To be fair my girlfriend is from Manchester and she says Ricky is a great ambassador for Manchester. He is I think. He is witty, eloquent and self depricating. Their having a welcome home parade for him.

The people who support Ricky are football fans. It was classless but I think they just wanted to give Ricky any kind of advantage, and make the atmosphere as hostile as possible. It's love gone wrong
