Floyd v. Cotto

Mosley threw the straight right so much because its his only good weapon. Every other punch he throws in below average. Jab, hook, uppercut- none of them are anything special.Mosley was very stubborn in this fight as he is in most of his fights he had no defense and try to **** with Cotto. He refused to throw uppercuts which I was calling for from round 1. Cotto was so open for one but Mosley just kept on throwing the overhand right (the commentators even mentioned it later on in the fight). Cotto is just the next name that people HOPE can beat Mayweather. What I saw from his last fight was an improved Cotto boxing wise but he was hit far too many times from a wild overhand right. Floyd's lead right is faster and straighter and is his signature virtually unstoppable punch. He would tag Cotto all day and has one of the best uppercuts in the biz. Easy work for da boy. I don't even want to get into Cotto's questionable chin.Comment

Excellent post mate, I wish people would actually read your post and go away and watch the Cotto/Mosley fight, Mosley lost that fight more than Cotto winning it...I swear i would bet anything that the Mayweather/Cotto fight would be more easier that the Hatton..He might not Knock out cotto but he would beat cotto to the punch and make him miss all night UD PBF.Comment

And they will cry about it as well.
T-minus now for the Cotto fans to start yelping about a fight they DO NOT WANT.
I'll be here when it happens. Cotto better keep his trap shut.
You thought Mose was tracking Cotto down...
Wait until he steps into the ring with "Gayweather".
You see, Cotto fans are confident that this fight won't take place.
You watch. It will. And it will be another W for Mayweather. No doubt.Comment

Maywaether needs Cotto to become an ATG, right now he's a great fighter and Cotto needs Mayweather to become a PPV main attraction.
As for the fight you're kidding yourself if you think it'll be as easy as Hatton. Hatton is a 140 ponder that is much smaller than Cotto, can't punch half of what Cotto can punch and is not half the boxer Cotto is. The result was expected after the Collazo were it was clear Hatton didn't belong at 147, now if he beats Cotto in the same fashion that would put him amongst the ATG.Comment

i just don't get that logic.
this forum is crawling with little leonard ellerbes like it's cool.
floyd is the best fighter in the world, right?
who are his BIGGEST threats in HIS division?
MIGUEL ANGEL COTTO. PAUL WILLIAMS
no way in hell he fights williams.
so
i mean this would seem pretty easy of a choice to make right?
yeah,
no.Comment

No he won't, cotto is one of the best defensive/offensive boxers floyd would ever fight. I think he will duck cotto. Did you see how well cotto blocked zab judah and shane mosleys punches? Those two boxers are fast as ****.Comment

Mosley did an horrible mistake staying in front of Miguel Cotto facing him with bombs. When he changed tactic moving and using his speed he was winning round but it was too late (I won 3 of the 4 last rounds... ad 37...).If Cotto can beat Mosely, he can beat Floyd. Whether or not Cotto would actually beat Floyd is another matter altogether. If Floyd ducks Cotto, the respect he just earned against Hatton will quickly evaporate. Fighting Cotto is a must....even if it's the last fight of Floyd's career.
Anybody disagree?
Floyd won't repeat the same mistake.
Floyd by decision.Comment
