    should hatton retire ?

Ricky wasn't the same guy against floyd, not enough punches thrown ,couldn't get off on the inside due to floyds holding and tying up.Hatton couldn't close him down and came in guard low face first letting floyd tee off his right hands down the pipe.Great left hook by floyd , hatton couldn't recover from that and too much time left on the clock.I think a re-match might be different now that ricky has been in with him.He was clearly caught because he knew he had to step it up to get anywhere close on points, therefore was a touch careless, he cannot fight someone with floyds slickness and speed with a chest high guard. But i love him , he's a little beast and a top bloke !!!

Think this was on before, someone posted a thread about Lennex Lewis saying he should quit.
He has many fights back down a light welter, Witter for one, but can he boil down to that div now, and when you think how much he balloons up in weight between fights, it's going to be tough for Ricky but he has more than enough left in the tank

Ricky is only 29 years old and in his prime, he should not retire. If Hatton becomes **** after a loss then he should retire, some fighter will never be the same after they lose.

I'm waiting to see if J. Taylor will become a **** or an all time great in his next fight against Pavlik, only time will tell with Taylor and Hatton.

Ricky is not the fighter he told everybody he was. His fighting style excites me but honestly, I expected better against Mayweather. I knew Mayweather was superior to him in every aspect but damn, I didn't expect him to walk into everything Floyd thre and then some. He landed 67 punches in 10 rounds!

I'm still a big fan of Ricky but he really disappointed me last night. He should go back to light welterweight. The fight with Collazo only proved he wasn't a natural welterweight, yet some people said he went back to 140lbs to duck the other welterweights. Last night it only showed yet again.

Mayweather is the smallest welterweight in that division, and Hatton is even smaller than he is. He belongs at 140lbs.
