Because prior to Trinidad, he was being avoided by bigger name opponets. He had nobody else to fight, and Allan kept popping up as the contender like a bad case of herpes. After Trindad Hopkins was put in a position to fight the best known fighters out there, which he wasn't in before Tito.

That will never happen because Jones will beat Trinidad. And why give Trinidad a rematch? 2 reasons.

1.) Beating Trinidad for the second time does nothing to further Hopkins' career, and he'd just get **** on for going back and fighting him again. What, is he supposed to fight him again for your sake?

2.) Hopkins is looking for a few more "legacy opponets" and again, Trinidad is not one of them. He was back when he was undefeated, and a heavily favored betting favorite. Hopkins killed him, it's time to move on.
