For those complaining about Joe Cortez...

You should watch Hatton-Castillo. It's the same scenario as last night. Repeated warnings from Cortez. Even a break in the action to admonish the fighters (because Floyd got admonished too). There was even a suspect point deduction on Castillo's part.. with no warning before it. Similair to Ricky's point deduction.

So people-- don't act like Joe Cortez was reffing it any different than he usually would have. Because I certainly didn't see these same complaints when he bulldozed Castillo.

Castillo didn't deserve the point deduction against Hatton. He did a **** job in that one too.

Cortez shouldn't have let him hold as much as he allowed. Without holding/wrestling, Hatton gets KO'd in 3-4 rounds. That's a fact. That kid can't box for ****.

Yeah, but there were no grumblings about it in that instance. Because he got the W.

I guess it just shows how fans keep their excuses in the holster until it's needed.

Huge difference, When Joe Cortez broke Hatton against Castillo, it was to the detriment of Hatton AND Castillo.

When Cortez broke Hatton against Mayweather, it was to the detriment of Hatton, and the benefit of Mayweather.

thats bull****, castillo benefits form being inside with free hands....not ahving a fatso leaning on him hugging and grappling like crazy...

but since Hatton was the fighter with the higher status, he barely warned him...
and now that it backfired on him, hatton fans want to make him a victim...

So basically, you guys couldn't comprehend the fact that both guys would be getting broken up in this fight, when he did the same thing in the previous fight?

LMAO. And you're one of the guys who though Cortez would be Hatton's Saviour.

Joe Cortez made a ****** ref decision by breaking the fight too early and giving Hatton a point d when all Hatton hit was the ropes.

Fake Floyd on the other hand used elbows as punches to no end and yet got no deduction.

It's plain and common sense bias.

And Cortez has a reputation for being biased as ****.
