Are you serious? Hatton even stated that Floyd being bigger than him gave him a problem and Floyd is a smaller welterweight than all the other guys...they would kill Hatton point blank and simple. You need to take Margarito, Cintron and Williams off of the list. What have they done. You are just saying anything to try to prove a point. Williams with all of his advantages could not even dispose of Margarito in a more convincing fashion.


The only one who may deserve a shot is Cotto. Mosley has had numerous opportunities to fight Mayweather and rejected them. He has now been beaten by Cotto. If Floyd were to fight Mosley, he would win. Then, the win would not be enough nor would it be justified because Mosley is past his prime.

You speak of an intelligent arguement after you first post? I have you read all the threads days before the fight saying how even this fight was getting? Who the **** is Margarito all you mean one who just beat that highly ranked golden johnson? Mosley who had a toothache when Floyd wanted a fight? Listen I was for Mayweather in this fight no doubt about it and have been a fan of Mayweather for years hence the reason I can complain or state what I state. The fact is that Mayweather is self-proclaiming himself to be the GOAT or Greatest OF All Time! You’re throwing yourself into big company like Ali, Robinson, Chavez, Whitaker, Haggler, Leonard etc etc. When you make a comment like that. Mayweather is great in this era with and what he has accomplished at 130 and 135 he was on a fast pace for that title but what he has done in recent years is rubbish. He has been running from the legitimate opponents at 147 lbs. To fight the money fights. Ok no problem with money fights but if you say that those fights were for your legacy then he’s completely ridiculous. Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, Hatton are hardly any dominant guys at 147 lbs. So my point with Williams, Margarito, Cintron, Mosley, Cotto are all formidable opponents at welterweight and now that it’s thick he wants to ride off into the sunset without making a stance with the true welterweights and still wants to be called the GOAT…that’s ludicrous.

See there you go again assuming that I'm actually stating these guys can beat Mayweather. All I'm saying is that before we start blowing the horns of victory for Mayweather we really need to take a step back and see what he has been fighting as of late and then decide if it's worthy of the legacy he is shooting for which is Greatest of all Time. I'm sorry but I have to disagree and state that he is not the GOAT if he retires now. And yes fighting the top welterweights may change that opinion but retiring after he defeated a good junior welterweight champion who had problems with size the first time he stepped up to welterweight is hardly legacy defining.
