I am using ammeter rules here but I am pretty sure they also apply to the pros:

Cortez was right jumping in when he did. You can box out of a clinch, but once it becomes a hold (grabbing and holding on to an appendage) you have to step in. Again, Cortez would let them go at it as long as they weren't holding so I say he did a good job.

In any case, Mayweather showed he could fight on the inside if need be so I am not sure how much difference it would have ultimately made if another referee was involved.

micky vann is completely biased towards frank warren fighters. if you think cortez was biased towards floyd vann is even more biased.
