Hatton did not execute his game plan and was poor but Mayweather executed his game plan perfectly and in my eyes has finally answered the critics who stated he couldn't fight toe to toe and he couldn't fight a sustained fight or finish a fighter.

He did all of the above.

Hatton looked tight and unhinged and Cortez did not help the fight as a whole but this has no impact on the result.
What you talking about, hatton did execute his plan, and it was to put the pressure on floyd and get him on the ropes, but it didn't work out for him.

Floyd is one hell of a fighter but is now starting to remind me of Jermain Taylor, Wins a championship then fights any smaller guy[Hatton] or big name past their prime fighter [Dela Hoya]he can find. Pavlk proved that Taylor wasn't the best middleweighr now lets see Mayweather fight a few REAL proven top Welterweights like Cotto, Williams or Cintron. That being said congratulations to Mayweather for beating Hatton as you should of and proving what I've been saying right along, this fight was made competitive by the media to sell tickets and it worked!!! Hatton made a great payday and should now move back down to his own devision or retire.
homie wtf are u talking about??
he has to prove he's the best welterweight??
he already beat the recognized welterweight champs consecutively judah and baldo
then went up a weight division higher and beat the best in that division
and he just beat hatton, a former welterweight title holder who was undefeated

u cant tell me there is another welterweight out there that can call himself the true welter champ

williams?? - NO - i like williams but he's only had 1 welterweight championship fight

cintron?? - NO - he beat maltteyedsd and had life and death battles with feliciano

cotto?? - NO - he's proven his worth as a champ but he hasnt accomplished what floyd has and anyone from an unbiased view can see he isnt as good as mayweather

          What am I talking about.

Hatton's game plan was educated pressure not just to get him and hold him on the ropes.

Hatton is usually an educated pressure fighter who works via angles from body to head throwing tens of punches. His game plan was simple, keep on top of Floyd and execute his style (as above)

Hatton stumbled forward all night hardly changing the angles, hardly working the body, he looked ponderous and tight therefore he didn't execute his game plan did he?

The reason why he didn't execute his game plan is a different question but I'll answer it:

          1. Floyd was far better fighter and far stronger than Ricky imagined.
          2. He became wound up and tight with the pressure which effected his performance.
          3. The crowd although seeming to help actually heaped more pressure on him.
          4. He allowed the point deduction to affect him.
          5. Floyd executed his game plan perfectly and expertly.

What are you talking about because you answered your own question, as you said 'it didn't work out for him' hence he didn't execute his game plan then, did he?

Fair play to Mayweather he out boxed Hatton.
He not only outboxed him, he easily outboxed him, that's how unskilled Hatton is. You pay $55 to see the two top competitors in the world, in this case one was overrated (Hatton) and the other should be fighting someone in his own division.
