.. He couldn't, most of the fight was either fought in the middle of the ring or with Hatton pushing him into the ropes.

I think Mayweather did to a certain extent, but it wasn't as noticeable as it may have been in previous fights where he was accused of it because Hatton gave chase as if he was a bull seeing red.

yeah i agree i don't think he ran, he was pressured into the ropes a lot of the fight and held his ground, maybe in the earlier rounds he moved a bit more waiting to potshot but i wouldn't say he ran

No he didn't because Hatton didn't let him move around too much.

theres no such a thing as a runner in boxing.
you dont become p4p fighter by running.
actually you cant become a boxer by 'running'' in a limited space.

I don't see how he ever runs honestly. He's just using the ring to his advantage. Calderon does more "running" then Floyd does, but hell I love Calderon.

The only fight I could see him "running" in was the baldomir fight. That's it.

                  lmao, nice one.

So do you think this fight helps convince people that Mayweather can very well fight on his back leg just like his front?

I think it should show that he is not always the runner everyone makes him out to be, i think that is a negative perception that floyd haters have put on him, he has been the agressor in many fights and people ignore that. For example he was the agressor in the zab judah fight and in the early rounds of castillo mayweather 1
