i would say that an oscar cotto fight with the winner fighting money may is whats best for boxing. the sad thing is that there really arent any mega fights left, and by mega fight i mean something that would interest casual boxing fans and the general public. oscar pbf and hatton (maybe joe but not really) are the sports only fighters with mainstream appeal. pbf beat both of them and it looks like hatton wont be fighting at 147 anymore. money may cotto would be a decent fight, but cotto is a drone and has very few fans that would by ppv. he only sold 350,000 against mosley, and most of those were mosley fans. it might do 500,000 and i doubt floyd is gonna fight for like 7 million dollars when he has made over 20 million in his past two.

24/7 makes a big ass difference
cotto vs dlh would be amazing and cotto would gain a lotta ****in fans but seriously to me its like thats too long of a time off for floyd
i wanna see floyd vs cotto now with a nice 24/7 to boost ratings

then margarito vs de la hoya in a cinco de mayo showdown.

I really wish De La Hoya would stop boxing, he just wants to fight anyone with a name

But he will just end up being known as someone who fights big fighters, but loses.

to be honest i think a cotto PBF 24/7 would be terrible. im guessing people are tired of floyds act, and he would probably just be a nice guy and not pretend to be an ass to sell the fight, cotto is a nice guy who can barely speak english, i dont see it working, maybe they can make a good countdown to the fight and sell half a mil, but i think that might be a stretch unless PBF won over a ton of fans tonight.

They where all over years ago, I like De La Hoya, but would prefer to see him focussing on promoting events like tonight (this morning for me) and helping lesser known boxers have more of a chance instead of attaching himself to any 'name' fighter
