I dont think he needs to proove more.. But I think fighting cotto and winner of williams cintron would shut alot of people up..

to me, he dosent need to prove anything .. a fight would cotto would be easy for mayweather imo. i'd like to see a williams - mayweather fight though, i think it would be a good fight.

No, Floyd in my book is the greatest fighter of his generation.

Why fight Cotto etc? He has enough money, his body in his words is breaking down so end now.

He's had 20 title fights and won them all while remaining undefeated over ten years and beating some of the best out there, including future hall of famers. He has the right to do what he pleases while still referring to himself as the premiere fighter of this era..

It's not that he has anything to prove. He just has good options and he's on top. If he wants to retire fine, just stay retired. Dont come back in a year and face someone not named Williams or Cotto.

                  I agree.

Though I am very confident Floyd will be back at the end of '08, and he will be fighting Cotto (if he wins his next fight)

not at all...............he has moved up many many divisions whilst still cleaning up..hats off.

hatton kept saying that he is a natural light welter...true that, and mayweather is probably a natural lightweight at best...
