exactly, the guy is IN his prime, and happens to be in THE BEST division in boxing.

If he retires, nobody is ever going to mention him with the greats. Now, if he beats a COTTO, a Williams, a Mosley... then its a possibility...

And how the **** did he EVER make it onto his feet after that first KNOCKDOWN??? that was amazing really, he went down HARD.

Overall i was overly pleased with the night. The fight was good, in ended in a KO, Mayweather and Hatton were both extremely classy in both victory and defeat, and it really showed off Boxings better side tonight.

On ANOTHER note... HOW THE **** DID HOWARD LETTERMAN GIVE THAT MANY ROUNDS TO HATTON?????? This guy is UNBELIVABLE. he is just a complete IDIOT, what fight does this guy watch?

I thought rounds 1 and 3 were kinda close, but both were probably mayweather rounds, and round 5 was probably a Hatton round...but that was it.

Oh, and if Mayweather really does retire, which i definetly believe this time, he is the single biggest ***** of all time.
How can you call Mayweather a ***** then tell us we should have respect for Haton???

i was rooting for ricky, but i was getting worried after round 3, but howard ledermen was giving me confidence that ricky could still win, hahaha
what if it went full twelve rounds, and we saw the real score card compared to ledermen i would wanna knock him out.

Yeah, he really shouldn't retire just yet. But if Floyd is really smart he should not fight past 32. I agree he should fight Cotto next...

Round 8 i think it was, Hatton gets ROCKED something awful, and Mayweather lands his best on Ricky, but at the end of the round Ricky is the one throwing back!

Just unbelievable courage and heart Hatton showed, thats gotta gain anybodies respect
Ok, I piss you off. Whatever. Sorry that I can't get hyped over somebody who turns a fight into a wrestling exhibition. Maybe that translates into heart for you... but I personally don't call every guy who gets smacked up a warrior. He didn't hit, and he got hit-- simple.

It did, even Mayweather was humbled by Ricky's performance. Had Mayweather not been so accurate or prepared, it would have gone Ricky's way i'm sure. Ricky is a great champion and will come back stronger i'm sure.

Hattons performance didn't get any respect from me whatsoever. He took a beating and proved that he is a dirty fighter. He gets mad props for his heart but he didn't show much else. He was never gonna beat Floyd and I think everyone knew that. He really truned me off at the end though whinning about PBF being bigger and using an elbow and shoulder to move him. PBF is a natural 130lb fighter and Ricky was using WWE moves in their and even got a point taken away, so he has no room to talk thier. I thought he would be more graceful in defeat like Kessler and admit he just lost to a better fighter but he didn't. He is a good fighter and he still can beat most guys at 140lbs but he needs to just man up like he had been doin and stop making excuses. Then he will get my respect.

                    what?

dude, u MUST be the biggest idiot on the site first of all.

But if Mayweather does retire, he is a *****. Here is a guy IN HIS PRIME, IN THE BEST DIVISION IN ALLLLLLLLLL OF BOXING, and he's going to retire???

lol, thats what we call "running away from the a challenge" aka, he's flat out ducking Cotto or any of the welterweights really.

He claims he's in the sport cause he loves it... well then why the **** will he only take fights that offer up the most cash?

Good fight for both fighters. Floyd, inside and outside, outclassed Ricky and showed why he is a great. Damn good fight. Why the **** is he a *****? Didn't you hear what was said "I retire from boxing, boxing doesn't retire me".
