    An Apology To America

Let me be the first to say that the British fight fans in attendance were fantastic in their support for Ricky Hatton.

    But,

you let yourselves and the nation down by booing the American national anthem. This was appalling behavior and I am ashamed to call myself British after this display of flagrant disrespect.

Let me say on behalf of Great Britain that we salute our American brothers and sister and we respect your national anthem despite the abhorrent actions of the mindless minority.

Bollocks. It was out of line, out of order and lacked class. I for one would never be party to such hostility.
