It just so happeneds that Lampley decided to talk about the holding right when Floyd did it early in the fight just one time. Hatton had held him like 20 times before that and Lampley didnt notice but as soon as Floyd did it once, he noticed and tried to make it sound like Floyd was the one doing it.
I told all the non believers that Floyd is a brilliant in-fighter and would chop him up. He did that when he had the chance but there were hundreds of times when Hatton would basically just rush in like a football player and force a clinch. None of Floyd's fights are like this but all of Hattons are and they tried to make it sound like it was Floyd. It wasnt him.
All Im saying is that this fight couldve been awesome if Hatton rushed in but kept a close distance like Cotto does. Instead he just basically bum-rushes in and pushes and clinches. It still was a great exciting fight but it wouldve been even better if Hatton wouldve kept even a inch in between. Instead he just wanted to wrestle and smother Floyd non stop. It worked some but any time there was breathing room then Floyd would chop him up and the later it got the more he wore him down. If Hatton had stayed in close all fight but kept a inch or 2 apart then this wouldve been a super exciting fight but Floyd wouldve carved him up then.
I also think the announcers and Lederman were watching a much different fight then me. I thought Floyd was still winning alot of those rounds that they gave to Hatton. They were missing all the counters that Floyd was landing. He was blocking and countering very well even early and they missed all of them. Im glad the judges didnt but Im also glad that Floyd stopped him because if they had went to the cards then the announcers & Lederman wouldve either called it a robbery or wouldve said that Floyd won but it was alot closer then the judges had it
