Cotto on Mayweather-Hatton

"I don't have any prediction," said WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto today at Wolfgang Puck's Restaurant in Las Vegas. "I just want to see what Hatton and Mayweather bring tonight." As to his preference to meet in the ring. "I never choose my opponent. I leave that up to Bob [Arum]. I trust Top Rank to do what's best for my career. If I fight Mayweather or Hatton, I'm going to prepare for each one. The way I'll fight depends on the opponent." Cotto also presented a cake to Arum who is celebrating his 76th birthday.

People say that but its not like he's ever fought anyone to be afraid of. Shane was good but he knew that he was older and had the huge size advantage. There really is no one for him to be afraid of with his size except for Paul Williams. If he fights him then Ill be impressed

Actually he mentioned today on a different interview that he picks PBF to outbox Hatton and that he would beat them both. He was also asked who would he rather face next outta those two and said money wise Floyd, stylewise Hatton.

Cotto is a Puppet who is controlled by Arum, I like him but he gets a pass because his career is out of his hands..He never calls anyone out, He never shows anyone any desire to fight the top fighters..Its alway the same "I would fight whoever my promoter put in front of me BS"...I which he would come out and just tell us who he like to fight or call out the big names.

he is what boxing needs in a fighter.
maybe not as a salesman for the sport, but as a fighter yes.

for a welterweight he's still had the best 2007 out of anyone

beat Urkel in 11 in march .. stopped Judah in 11 in June

and UD over Mosley last month

pretty damn good for a "puppet"
