harrison vs williams got 8 million viewers and the expected number for hatton mayweather in this country is 750,000. global viewing figures will be a lot higher than this.

One of the biggest fights of this generation, but not even close if you've been following Boxing for longer than that.

it's definately a big fight. if it ends up being a close/good/dramatic fight... it could elevate floyd and/or ricky to legendary status. in mayweather/de la hoya that didn't happen. but i think if floyd can find a comfort zone that isn't outside of hatton's firing range this could be great.

i'm hoping there will be a little bit of a shoot out. i know floyd will have to show us more offense against ricky than he's been willing to show in almost 2-3 years. the only way i can see floyd keeping hatton off of him (literally with the way he holds) is to fire off often.

i have a lot of hope for this fight to be good. definately better than the oscar fight. (i hoppppeeee)

Can it get any bigger than this? Has it ever been any bigger than this?
Are you kidding me? This fight is only big because it was hyped up by HBO. It's nothing like Oscar-Floyd. Now that was a HUGE fight. From the title, "The World Awaits", to the fact that Floyd and Oscar were both(or was it just Oscar?) on Jay Leno. The whole world knew about the fight and it was mainly due to Oscar's superstar power. This fight is no where near the same level of status but it's gonna be watched by the Hatton supporters more so than any others. Floyd has his fans, but they don't by any means support him as Hatton's fans do. Just have to always remember, it's Floyd's opponent that is always the draw. Floyd has never done well on his own(Baldomir), and this is just another testament to that. And the answer to your question, is YES, it can and has been bigger than this many o times.
