I actually do think it is intelligent. He is seeing how Floyd reacts to the fighter that fights the most like Ricky, so I thought it was smart to try to pick out the weaknesses that Floyd showed that night against Chavez.

There's short sequences in that fight that show how you can beat Floyd. Like early in the fight when Chavez had him backed against the ropes, landed a jab, pivoted right, and hit Floyd with a right hook to the head. That's the kind of stuff Hatton will do, hit him at angles. It also shows you how good Floyd is on his back foot. That's the fight they should study.
