Laughing is a play-off of being nervous in such instances, which is why he was laughing AND backing up at the same time, then when backed into a corner, tried to put on a mug as a last resort. This was so easy to read and he was intimidated.

Nah, don't really think he was intimidated, despite your fine choice of words and psycho-analyzis.
You know there might have been trouble if he had stood his ground when Hopkins moved towards him. Made no sense to start some **** on a Mayweather-Hatton weigh-in.

In the interview Calzaghe said he's willing to come to the US, he also said the fights going to happen.

It would be a huge fight, hope it happens.

You have to be kidding. Nard is like 137 years old, Cal has faced very credible opponents before, such as in his very last fight. Calzaghe at this point in both of their careers would make pretty easy work of Hopkins.

Joe is respectful. He knew if he started some **** with B-hop it would just over-shadow what it was really about, Hatton and Floyd. Hopkins on the other hand is a selfish moron.

Joe said it best "You ducked me four years ago, you don't fight, you hold".

Hopkins was waiting to catch Joe off-guard and like a typical mouthy American tried to turn this into a street fight, wait until Calzaghe gets him in the ring then
you will see how much Hopkins is worried about fighting him.

As for credible opponents Joe wasted Eubank, Lacy and Kessler, Hopkins on the other hand beats legendary Middleweights and Welterweights then calls them big fights, the only top fighter he fought in his weight class was RJJ and he got beat.

C'mon man, you're not gonna give Hopkins (who started his career at 175) any credit for beating De La Hoya (who started his career at 130?) What's wrong with you?

De La Hoya started out as a Super Featherweight, at his peak he was an amazing fighter but every boxer has his limits, as soon as he left Welterweight it was only a matter of time before he got knocked out.

Thats not to say Hopkins isn't a top fighter but the big names on his resume are weak at Super Middle/Light Heavy IMO.

Look , you guys read evrything into fook all..
This is Hattons / Floyds stage, Calzaghe is just having abit of fun...Hopkins is being a tit, trying to prove something infront of the British fans, Calzaghe at first is abit surprised at unsure what the thick yank is doing and thats why he is smiling and backing up a touch..What do you want him to do...go face to face and start puching...get real..

If you really think Calzaghe is scared of Hopkins you really are dumb..One thing Calzaghe has shown time and time again, is that he doesn't know when to back down...he always trades when hurt...
Why the hell would he be scared of an over the hill racist..sorry I ment ******..
