It's Goin Down! My thoughts on the Mega Fight!

The biggest fight of the year is fast approaching...

This Saturday, Dec. 8th, 2007, the lights in Las Vegas will shine exuberantly bright as the world over will tune in via PayPerView to witness the highly anticipated bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Ricky Hatton.

One is from America. The other, from across the pond, hails from England. Both are fighting for their respective countries. Both are Undefeated, which happens to be the befitting title for this Mega Fight. Last but not least, both are fighting for utmost pride, respect, and to show the world who is the Best.

Odd makers give Floyd Mayweather Jr. the edge. He's the P4P (Pound for Pound) Best Fighter in the World. You'd be a fool to bet against him.

What the odd makers are not taking into account is the heart, and will power of Ricky Hatton. Watching the compelling series, 24/7 on HBO, one has to admire the hunger of this "lad" and his outright determination to prepare and win the biggest fight of his career. His affability sure doesn't hurt public opinion.

    You see...

Even though I have Mayweather as a "friend" on *******, (which shows the outright respect I have for his boxing game and what he's done in the sport) I, and I'm sure I speak for many others, am indifferent to his persona and the way he handles himself.

What ever happened to being the "People's Champ?"
    Ali, Floyd is not.

I wonder how much dancing Floyd Mayweather Jr. will bring to the ring Saturday night from his short stint on Dancing With the Stars?

    With that said...

My heart wants Ricky Hatton to win.
My brain tells me it's computationally possible.
My pulse races just thinking about it.

U think it's raceing now? Wait till the mid rounds when the prospect begins to take shape and Hatton closes the show- you will remember that feeling the rest of your life!
