George Foreman Badly Disses Floyd Mayweather Jr...

In a recent interview conducted by Andrew Haigh and published this past weekend by thesun.co.uk, Heavyweight Living legend, George Foreman dissed Floyd Mayweather Jr., branding Mayweather a 'nobody' and a 'chicken'.

According to the report by the The Sun, Foreman hates Mayweather's king of bling image. Foreman also insists that Mayweather is too scared to slug it out in big fights.

Although Mayweather defeated Hatton with a tenth round KO this past Saturday. Foreman was backing Ricky Hatton to defeat Mayweather, saying: "I love Hatton and I hope he really beats up Mayweather."

Foreman added: "But who is Mayweather? He's a nobody."

"When he was young he was a loveable little fella but something went wrong and changed inside him. Now he is always cursing and bad-mouthing other fighters. The guy deserves an Oscar for some of the stuff he says."

Foreman isn't even impressed with the title of Pound-for-pound best for Mayweather, stating:"There is no way I would consider him to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world."

"He is good but he made a fool of himself against Oscar De La Hoya. He was in the greatest fight of his career and he just ran and ran like a chicken."

"De La Hoya brought that fight to him all night but I didn't like his style and the way he approached the fight. I thought he was very lucky to win it on points."

Does anyone find it sorta funny how Foreman feels about Mayweather is probably just like the same on how he felt about Ali??

Foreman is a hater? If anything, I would say he is disappointed in the way Floyd performed. Thats not hating since he knows Floyd is extremely talented so its no surprise to see his frustration.

Well the thing is, Floyd only 'runs' if you put pressure on him. That his been his opponents' game plan for his last 3 fights. In the fights where people did NOT put a ton of pressure on him and let HIM come forward, they got destroyed. Judah was getting tatooed with shots to the body and to the head by Floyd by the end of their match, Gatti didnt put a ton of pressure on Mayweather and we all know what happened there, even Sharmba didnt put a ton of pressure on Mayweather and Floyd nailed his body with a perfect straight left hand and KOed him. hell, you can go through his whole career if you like, even Corrales and Hernandez didnt put huge amounts of pressure on him and he ate them up.

Pressure is still his weakness I believe. Its just that he hasnt run into someone with enough ability to beat him yet.
Although I also think a counter puncher would do very well against him, but hes really yet to run into one of those. Also someone with a really good jab would work well against him, but he already beat probebly one of the best jabs in the business in De La Hoya, so whos left to test that theory out?

Have any of you guys ever met floyd in person? im not a fan of his but all his ego during the 24/7 and iviews is all just talk. i do respect him as a boxer though since im a boxer myself. in person he never acts the way the MEDIA portrays him, atleast the numerous amount of times ive seen him in person and played craps w/ him. my coach actually saw him in the club and said hey mayweather just want to let you know youre a great fighter and mayweather pushed all his entourage out of the way to personally give my coach a handshake and chat it up w/ him a bit and personally thank him for the support. you guys just take what this man says in the media to personally and dont realize it's all just hype. look at how he was after the fight he was very humble and gave hatton all the respect in the world.

George Foreman was Oscar De La Hoya's biggest cheerleader when he worked for HBO boxing, so its no wonder that he hates Mayweather. He also disliked Trinidad and Bernard Hopkins, two of the other boxers who beat Oscar. George was a lousy commentator and has zero credibility in the sport as a boxing commentator. His opinion means about as much to boxing as the opinions of the Mayweather haters on this site.
