Foreman was poor as all hell while damn near every member of Floyds fam was boxing and making good money .
If anything Foreman has done more from less.
Oh and I hate to break it to you but my step dad is black so I get it.Comment

People usually aren't jealous of those types though, unlike they are of Floyd.
Are you looking into one of those multi-reflection mirrors, like on Bruce Lee's "Enter The Dragon"?Geeks are geeks everywhere.Comment

Without a doubt George has been known to say some goofy **** on a fairly regular basis, but every now and then, if you listen closely, he throws out a gem. He's got decades of experience in and around the fight game, so as many times as he has made me groan with one of his maddening contradictions, I never tuned him out, because he was just as likely to come right back with the most insightful comment of the evening.
With regard to Floyd, he's mostly just giving his opinion. He doesn't like the dude for obvious reasons, but, hell, neither does Floyd's own father. He's a ****head, plain and simple. I can't see how too many people can argue with what George is saying; particularly what he said about the ODLH fight. During the pre-fight build up Floyd talks like he's a holy terror like "Iron" Mike, but once the fight starts he's all Sweet Pea Whitaker. As soon as he wins the decision, he starts talking like he just murdered the guy.
Basically what I said in my phat rap High Rollin' in this thread. http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...151669&page=11Last edited by NachoMan; 12-08-2007, 05:31 PM.Comment

This is what puzzles me to a great extenct, you actually think that we are jealous of Floyd.
Normal people are not jealous of clowns and wannabes, no matter how rich they are, and frankly, if it was the "wealth" jealousy, I would be much more jealous of the google guys then Floyd.
And no, I am not looking into "one of these mirrors", I am telling you that you are an elitist geek.

Whether or not you like Mayweather, the guy is smart and knows what he is doing. The crap that comes out of his mouth is an act and nothing more. He plays up being the brash, fast-talking villain because it is financially viable for him. People want to see the villain lose, it’s simple human nature. But to be able to see that happen you have to purchase the Pay-Per View. Brilliant.Comment

What part of America did George grow up in? Who did he grow up around? What was his parents and family situation like? What was the culture around him like? What era was it and what was the political climate like during his most significant stages of development? How is his personality profile?
Do you see how shallow this is? Oh, "George is black and grew up poor".. And?
Maybe, maybe not. I'm not that intimate into his life details and I couldn't possibly comment without knowing everything about what I've laid out above, and then some.If anything Foreman has done more from less.
How is this relevant? Is that supposed to give you ethos?Oh and I hate to break it to you but my step dad is black so I get it.Last edited by sonofisis; 12-08-2007, 05:15 PM.Comment

Cant argue there...Whether or not you like Mayweather, the guy is smart and knows what he is doing. The crap that comes out of his mouth is an act and nothing more. Yeah Foreman had a hard upbringing in Htown, and was a bully. He turned his life around and the reason was his Faith, and Boxing.
Floyd was programmed at a young age to be a professional fighter, and has lived/spent most of his time in the gym........starting when he was a child.
It's not like Foreman had a late start or anything........he started fighting as an amateur when he was 15 or 16? No? Someone correct me.
However, I see Floyd as a guy who mastered his life early (Because that's all he does, is train and box) like a CEO who became rich.
Except usually CEO's don't start **** with everyone in the media, and blatently attack other business figures.
