    Is Pre-Hype All An act?

I want to know if all this pre-fight hype all fake and just an act to sell tickets.

take the floyd de la hoya fight as a first example.

all this talk of de la hoya saying the trash talking of floyd mayweather has made him even more and more determined to beat the crap out of him, all an act in an attempt to sell tickets??

do fighters who are earning millions and millions of dollars from mega fights become so immersed in the idea of earning huge sums of money ,that they totally lose any hostility and hatred towards one another?

    2nd example.
    floyd vs hatton.
You see Ellerbee laughing and smirking in the background in the weigh-in when the 2 fighters come face to face, and push comes to shove.

Is the idea of generating millions of dollars for the fighters, and the promoters become a haven for these people that they can take the public for a ride, and give us the impression that there is this rivarly and tension between 2 fighters?

    I don't know..
I've been told professional boxing is all about making money.

Judging from tomorrow's hatton/floyd fight,I can't seen any hostility or animosity between 2 fighters who couldn't be any different from one another.

Benny 'kid' Peret made remarks about Emile Griffith's sexuality before their fight and may have lost his life because of those remarks.

So there is a difference between pre fight hype ,getting in someones head, and taking it too far.

Right most of the time you can kind of tell who is hype and who is really talking trash and what parts are hype and what parts are so and so being a prick.

Like I said before I don't have to like someone to still enjoy their skills or be entertained.

It's like the class clown most of the time the kid isn't really very well liked but everyone thinks he's funny.

It is all about making money, but its also to be the best, be world champion.

Its no fluke the beef that fighters carry when they're about to face each other as they talk **** to each other.

Yeah, most make up after they fight. Because you have to respect the other guy when each of you have traded punchs its a respect that gets earned by climbing into the ring.

If you have every boxed or sparred you'll know what i mean.
