Rap is simply the art of "rapping", hip hop is a culture that consists of 4 main elements, including emceeing (rocking a crowd, in addition to rapping, freestyling, etc.).. Okay, dude. I perused your link. Hip-Hop as culture is kind of amusing. I've long been aware of how "hip-hop culture" promotes those good old-fashioned urban virtues like illiteracy, murder, absentee parenthood, etc, etc, but I didn't come across anything mentioning ****sexuality (fifth core element?). As I indicate in my post, it seems that a lot of hip-hop gangsta types like you and Floyd are fascinated with the idea of sexually assaulting other men. Whether these ****sexual comments are expressed during casual **** talking, in lyric form or wherever, doesn't change the fact that you're thinking about it. You can defend it by calling it culture all you want, but, from where I'm from (born in Brooklyn) no heterosexual male threatens another man with sodomy.

As far as rap itself goes, I'm not a fan in general (I like RATM and that Snow character from the early nineties was pretty good) , but to each his own.
