Oscar De La Hoya Big Picture

Been here for a couple of months made me realize Boxing still is a mainstream sport. Then again, I have read multiple posts about fighters, promoters, trainers, Mexicans, Boricuas, Filipinos, Blacks and the rest of the colorful world of boxing. It's have been fun so far. In many occasions I founf myself making my classic comments on Oscar de La Hoya and some of you reacted like you never heard of thought about my theory on Oscar's MoneyMaking Mind. Forget Bob Arum, to hell with Don King, and HBO / ShowTime / ESPN. De La Hoya is the real big threat to boxing. He is steps ahead of most of the people in Boxing.

Everyone critizes promoters like Don King for the Last DownFall of Boxing. In the past, it was the trainer who were seen as guilty for the downfall of promising prospects. They will not prepare fighters well enough to overcome expected challenges in the way to Professional Boxing. Just to mention a simple example (my favorite boxer); I would had never thrown Cintron to Margarito so early in his career. Who's fault was it? Promoter? Trainer? Who the **** cares? Not me. He cried his mistake in the ring like a ****ing nerdy whimp.

Anyway, back to Oscar... ODLH prepared the scenario for the future of boxing by losing to Bernard Hopkins and Floyd Mayweather Jr. That's right!!! He was the Golden Boy from the Olympics. He had the White poeple and the Mexicans on his side from the very start. Then he becomes on of the best boxers of his prime timetabler, period. After losing to TiTo Trinidad and Mosley, what was next? He said he was robed vs TiTo and Mosley. His "undefeated" status was no more the way to make BIG MONEY. So he decided to become a promoter with the fame he had and become richer that way.

He took what he needed. First of all, a change of heart and new love for Mexico. Do you remember when he was not that "pro Mexico".... Then 5 de mayo. Puertorricans used to hate his ass. He marries a Puertorrican How smart??? WoW!!! He cought one of the best looking women in the world!!! His win agaisnt Mayorga was just to indulge in his need to be a Macho... keeping money on his mind. Duh! Oscar and Bernard made more money after fighting each other. Then again, Oscar needed more, way much more.

So he said, "I need to make a good fighter, a GREAT ONE." And his master plan unveiled... "I am going to lose agaisnt MayWeather Jr. and I am going to make money with his undefeated elite status." Hatton is just a part of the puzzle. Since a rematch with Floyd won't sell, the Rebirth of Brittish Boxing Pride is going to make him millions, wether Hatton wins or lose. He can have the luxury to wait for Cotto to become an even bigger star. Cotto got tons of fans in America already at his disposal. Hatton is the best available from the other side of the Sea. And the time is now while Hatton's only loss is to a super star in boxing. DumbAss Mother****ers evrywhere can't stop talking about the ****ing Mayweather-Hatton fight. Their loyal ****suckers and nuthuggers are making it imposible to find a thread worth reading. We are all putting the best of us to make the plan work...

ODLH discussed HIS MASTER PLAN with MayWeather Sr. and said; "You will train both of us". Mayweather Sr. became the correographer of the most sold PPV event in history. Oscar De La Hoya never looked like he really wanted to win the fight. What kind of bull**** is that? The father trainning the opponent and all that pathetic drama building up. Even women and gay people wanted to watch the fight. Oscar stole a story line from McMahon and came out with a TV show and a fight comparable with an WWE event. The fight was pre-arranged and they practiced it in an undisclosed secret gym. The fight was BULL****!!! It was like they did not wanted to hurt each other. They had butter in their gloves. The Boxing World bought the fight in a record setting way... and the first domino felt hitting the next one and the next, and the next...

Oscar is no longer Boxing's Golden Boy, he is Boxing's MoneyMaker and we are his machines...

Even De La ****** wouldn't have come up with the "business plan" you just laid out(lmao).

Get off the pipe. De La ****** is the image behind GBP, Schaefer, the CEO, is the brain behind GBP! De La ******, B-Hop, Mosley, and Barrera's jobs in GBP are to act as recruits w/ fancy job titles such as "President, Business partner, Vice- President, etc.."

If you don't believe me. Just look at all the articles where it involves GBP and another boxing promotions company, it always mentions Schaefer as the man that came up with the plan or did a good job of negotiating, hardly if any mention of the aformentioned boxing stars in GBP. Does anyone even see Schaefer or knows how he looks like? It's always GBP, B-HOP who are at the fights to be seen, to promote, but the brains belong to the Swiss banker!

The plan is working. People are killing each other to "defend" a fight beetween Mayweather and Hatton at 147lbs. Two fighters that may lose to CoTTo and Paul Williams any given Saturday. Oscar doesn't need help to sell. His name alone sells a fight. His loss to Floyd, made Floyd big enough to sell by his own name. Hatton is just the cream on top. Oscar will make lots of money fighting Hatton thanks for the fight with MayWeather vs. Hatton. The domino effect just keep growing. Wait until CoTTo and Williams are added to the big picture. We all know Oscar in going to retire by the end of 2009 in a fight were "a son is going to revenge his father's loss".

I think Chavez Jr just might be ready by then. I wish he had had a long amatuer background so people would quit crying about his opposition at this point. Hell, Lennox Lewis didn't even turn pro till he was 23, Jr is only 21.

Once again, Wilfredo Benitez was 17 years old when he won his first significant belt. Age, is nothing, but JCCJr is doing it fine as it is. Ride the Mexican wave until you get knocked the **** up by a Boricua. As always...

Different people mature at different ages. Jr is just fighting guys he should be fighting as amatuers (until just recently maybe). Wouldn't you rather get paid for it instead? He may turn out to be good, he may turn out to be all hype. But why not cash in on his dad's name in the meantime?

Dude, I agree with you. He is doing OK, let him take some time, let him call out baldomir above all bums... Let him have 100 fights like PaPi. I hope he does great. I did enjoy watching his dad.
