Please consider that Paul Williams has fought 33 fights and the ONLY name that has made him a viable contender is Margarito. On the other hand Miguel Cotto has fought solid opposition on a consistent basis and is a proven and tested CHAMPION.

Paul Williams is good, but he is very open for Cotto's precision and technique. Furthermore, Williams cannot maintain 147 for much longer and Cotto has just begun this journey. Out of Williams' 33 fights, he has only fought a handful of them at welter, everything else has been at junior middle or middle. Alot of the reason why he has won all of his fights is because of his physical attributes, not his ability.... Cotto on the other hand is a different case.
