Oscar is a lame oh gosh gee goolly gosh type of personality. Sad to say but his popularity is equally based on his looks, ability and smart marketing.

Lennox Lewis was also a bore, Calvin Brock reminds me a lot of him.

Hatton is very funny, witty and charismatic and has tons more personality than Oscar.

The other guy I miss on HBO is Foreman that guy was funny and told it the way he saw it, even if it wasn't the official HBO position (which is probably why he is not currently commentating for them).

I agree to the extent that Hatton is definitely more interesting than Oscar. He makes things seem more fierce, plus Oscar was visibly frustrated and psychologically beaten. He's stiffer and more annoying than Hatton is.

IMO. I like Hatton. His personality is wonderful, and he is a whole hell of a lot more interesting than Oscar.


With the last 24/7, whenever it was Oscar time, I'd fast forward. (DVR spoils you.) He was so boring. So dull.


Hatton may not be cute, but he is certainly firey. You almost want to believe him when he says he is going to win. He is more fierce than De La.


Is it possible, regardless of the outcome, because of Oscars clandestine behavior that his much desired fight with Hatton could see his tide turn....for good?


Hatton may not be fine enough to be the face of boxing, but he is strong enough personality wise to bring a nation with him and attract new fans.

Oscar is like Hollywood and Hatton is like your normal guy.
