I'm not sure either way if he'd sell that much fighting a no-name "bum", nor have I seen any indication that he's interested in such a prospect as he has emphatically stated that he wants the big names. Nothing is silly about the comment. Calderon is undefeated and one of the fightest technically sound fighters on the planet. He moved up in weight IMMEDIATELY and took the TRUE title. That's impressive, to say the least.

It's a legit opinion. You can dissagree, but I have a feeling you've never seen Calderon even fight. Which isn't your fault. Nonetheless, it's just my feeling.

I know he wants big names, but the comment wasn't about that. The comment was more of an off-handed remark at Cotto (technically) to hurry up with the call outs.

He wants the big fight. However, I have to assume that he has gained atleast 300,000 fans that are willing to shell out the money. The pattern of fighters that fight this much in the public eye and gainging substantial fans might be of interest to you.
